He was the heavyweight Golden Gloves champion of Rockford in 1948 and 1952. He was also a former member of the Swedish Gym Athletic Association and was long active in the Boy Scouts of America and other youth athletic activities. Survivors include his widow; two sons * * *, at home; one daughter, * * *, at home, and one brother, Jesse, Rockford.
Services will be at 11 am Saturday in the Long-Klontz Funeral Home, 428 Park Ave, with burial in Willwood Burial Park. [Omitted names of survivors potentially still living.]
