Ipswich---Allen V. Austin, 76, died in Beverly Hospital, Beverly, Mass. Monday after a brief illness. He was the retired manager of the Buenos Aires office of the First National Bank of Boston. He served the bank for more than 30 years, retiring in 1965.
Born in Davenport, Iowa; educated in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Graduated from Harvard College, Class of 1926, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
He leaves his wife, the former Margaret L. Wheat; a son, George V. Austin of Arlington, Va.;
daughters, Susahn Austin of Ipswich and Elizabeth Black of Glasgow, Scotland; five grandchildren.
Funeral service in Ascension Memorial (Episcopal) Church. burial in Highland Cemetery, Ipswich.
