Her legacy is her outstanding contribution to her lineage. She did extensive research on the Galbreath and Mitchell families. Help start the Galbreath Reunion celebrating the lives of the descendants of her Grandparents James and Martha Houston Mitchell Galbreath. The Reunion in 2013 celebrates 107 years.
Because of her work, future generations have a better understand of their forefathers. She kept a daily diary from 1900-1965 of her family activities of her family, Ashmore, Charleston and Coles County.
She married Rush Meyer in 1924 and became a mother to his daughter Francis. They lived on the family farm on south route 130 in Charleston.
