C. Vera Lingafelter, 90, Grayville, died Nov. 21, 2002 at her residence.
Mrs. Lingafelter was born Sept. 2, 1912 in Crawford County, the daughter of Manford and Hattie (Tracy) Downey.
She married Clyde A. Lingafelter Sept. 19, 1927, in Robinson, and he preceded her in death on April 29, 1972.
Surviving are three daughters, Elizabeth Wood of Grayville, Carolyn Turner of West Frankfort and Patricia Elwell of Claremore, Okla.; four sons, Paul Lingafelter, of Bradley, James Lingafelter of Carlin, Nev., Jerry Lingafelter of Jackson, Mo. and Rick Lingafelter of Joliet; 20 grandchildren, including three that she raised, Ronnie, Donnie and Robbie Lingafelter; 15 great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; and a sister, Doris Herrington of Grayville.
Mrs. Lingafelter was preceded in death by her parent; her husband; three sons, Gene in 1935, Michael R. "Bill" Lingafelter on May 6, 1999; two grandchildren ; and a sister, Annie Lingafelter.
Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery at Grayville.
