84-year-old Elizabeth Ann “Liz” Wood of Grayville, died Monday, November 16 at her home. She was born November 8, 1936, in Crawford County, Illinois, (Robinson), the daughter of Clyde and Vera (Downy) Lingafelter.

Liz was a retired beautician and in her earlier years, she was a waitress. She was a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Grayville, and enjoyed bowling and cooking.

Survivors include daughter Lisa Wood of Grayville; son Philip Micheal Wood of Gainesville, Florida; brother Rick (Janice) Lingafelter of Minooka, Illinois; sisters Patricia (Frank) Elwell of Claremore, Oklahoma, Carolyn Turner of West Frankfort, Illinois.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers Jack, Jerry, Mike, Bill, Gene, and Jim Lingafelter.

In keeping with Liz’s wishes, her remains were cremated. No services are planned.
