Mrs. Schutt, White Pigeon Woman, Dies Thursday Evening
White Pigeon, Mar 10, 1955- Mrs. Floyd (Bessie E.) Schutt, 63, died at her home west of White Pigeon Thursday at 11 p.m. She had been bedfast for 14 months.
Mrs. Schutt was born in LaGrange County, Ind., Jan. 19, 1892, a daughtr of of Ozias and Nettie (Eaton) Bollinger. She lived in this vicinity for 40 years and at her last home for 15 years.
She was married June 3, 1911 to Floyd Schutt in LaGrange, Ind.
Mrs. Schutt was a ;member of the White Pigeon Grange, Prairie Club, Mottville Ladies Aid, Farm Bureau, the Fish Lake Conservation Club and Pomona Grange.
She is survived by her husband (Floyd V.), one daughter Mrs. Myrtle (Charles) Astling, of White Pigeon, three grandchildren (Floyd A. Astling) Charles R. Astling) (Nancy Astling, Donley, Eipperle), one sister, Mrs. Ford (Viola) Aldrich, of Bushy Praire, Ind., and one niece, Mrs. Elva (Kenneth) Abbs,of Sturgis
Friends may call at the Farrand-Coats Funeral Home beginning Friday evening, where funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Andrew HArdie, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in White Piegeon Cemetery.
