Death notice (Moberly (MO) Monitor-Index, Feb. 2, 1921)- George W. Bennett, 60 years old, died this morning at 3 o'clock at the Woodland Hospital. He was brought to the hospital last night from his home near Ash, Mo. James Bennett, his brother, took the body to Ash where funeral services will be held tomorrow.

Obituary (Madison (MO) Times, Feb. 10, 1921)- George W. Bennett, son of the late Abe and Louisa Bennett, was born near Ash, Mo., May 18, 1856 and died in Woodland hospital at Moberly, Feb. 2, 1921, 64 years, 8 months and 14 days. Mr. Bennett was a member of the Hickory Grove Baptist church, uniting with that congregation in Aug. 1895 and was made a Deacon in that congregation in 1902. He was a man of God and loved and respected by those who knew him. He had made his home on the farm on which he was born all of his life. He leaves to mourn his death, one brother, James Bennett, four nieces, Misses Maud and Bertha Alexander of Ash, Miss Daisy Huston and Mrs. Tuley, of Monroe City. Funeral services conducted by Rev. R. A. Jones were held Thursday and burial was made in the Hickory Grove cemetery.
