Daisy was the daughter of Benjamin I. Salinger and Lucy M. Boylan. She married John Minchen at Carroll on July 19, 1900. They were the parents of John Paul who died in infancy.


July 18, 1977 - Carroll Daily Times - Private funeral services for Mrs. John (Daisy) Minchen, 95, of Carroll were held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Minchen residence. The Rev. Ernest W. Larson, minister of First United Methodist Church, officiated.

Interment was at the Carroll City Cemetery under the direction of Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home of Carroll. Pallbearers were Dr. Allen Anneberg, Robert Quinn, Fred Dolezal, Max H. Reed, Gerald Pringle, and Charles Ingersoll.

Mrs. Minchen was born Dec. 20, 1881 and died July 14 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital.
