Harry Frohman, 75, of 730 Third street, a native of Columbus and long-time grocery store owner, died Tuesday at Bartholomew county hospital. Mr. Frohman, who since 1960 had operated a small grocery business at his home, had been in ill health for several years.

Born Aug. 3, 1895, Mr. Frohman was the son of Amson and Rebecca Samuels Frohman. On June 13, 1921, he married the former Bessie Sagalowsky who survives. Also in 1921, Mr. Frohman opened the Sunshine Grocery store in the A. Tross building at 235 Washington street. The store was moved to 217 Fourth street in 1941, and was operated at that location until 1960.

Mr. Frohman was a veteran of the first world war, a member of the Elks club, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Indianapolis Hebrew congregation.

Surviving other than his wife are a son, Harold Frohman of Cincinnati; two brothers, Charles I. Frohman of 730 Third street, and Raymond C. Frohman of Taylor road; a sister, Miss Lillian J. Frohman of 738 Third street; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at the Reed funeral home by Rabbi Saltzman of Indianapolis. Persons may call after 1 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be at the Indianapolis Hebrew cemetery.
