James Frank Brown, 75, of Upper Strasburg died early yesterday morning. Thursday, April 22, 1965, in the Champbersburg Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was born March 12, 1890, in Bedford County, a son of Peter and Elizabeth Brown. He was united in marriage to Annie Hess who preceded him in death in 1940.

Surviving are the these children: Mrs. Lawrence Evans, Hopwell; Mrs. Anthony Amato, Altoona; Mrs. Wayne Hane, Upper Strasburg; Mrs. Willard Swartz, Robertsdale and Mrs. Donald Devor, Shippensburg.

Also surviving is a brother, Mike Brown of Saxton. There are 24 grandchildren and seven great - grandchildren.

The deceased was a member of the Minnequa Club of Shippensburg. He was a retired coal miner by trade, employed in the Robertsdale area.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 24, at 2 p.m. from the Robertsdale Church of God. The Rev. Richard E. Jarvis will officatie. Interment will be made in the Duvall Cemetery in Six Mile Run. Friends my call at the Van Seyoc funeral home in Shippensburg this evening, Friday, April 23, after 7 p.m.
