Elizabeth (Jennie) Mosher, 90, died today (Wednsday) at 7:50 a.m. at Millers Merry Manor Nursing home. She had been in failing health for two years. A longtime resident of LaPorte, she admitted to the local nursing home Sept. 2, 1979.
Born in Whitley county September 24, 1889, she was the daughter of Joseph and Phoeba Hollycross Loe. She was married here to Lyman Mosher and they moved to Laport a few years following. She resided in LaPorte for 50 years. She was a member of LaPorte Church of the Brethern.
She is preceded in death by her husband. one daughter, five brothers and one sister.
One brother survives, George Earl Loe South Whitley.
Friends may call Hollingsworth Memorial Chapel after 2 p.m. Thursday and Thursday night. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, March 22 at the Haverstock Funeral Home at LaPorte, where there will also be calling hours Friday after 2 p.m.
Rev. Charles Anderson former pastor of LaPorte Church of the Brethern and Rev. Robert Byerly, pastor of LaPorte Church of the Brethern will officiate.
Burial will be in Pine Lake cemetery, LaPorte.
