Mrs. Engelke died Tuesday, Dec. 20 at McKenna Memorial Hospital. She was a resident of Laurel Plaza Apartments. She was sister to Comal County Sheriff Walter Fellers, and had lived in New Braunfels most of her life.
She was born in Medina County on Oct. 25, 1910, the daughter of Walter Fellers Sr. and Rene Hinds Fellers. She was the widow of Robert Engelke, whom she married in 1950. Her first husband was Eddie Pohler, married in 1926.
She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Engelke is survived by two sons, Clifford Pohler and Welton Pohler of New Braunfels; three brothers, including the sheriff, Robert Fellers of Burnet and Earl Fellers of New Braunfels; four grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren.
