On Sunday, April 28th, Heaven gained the most incredible man his family has ever known. After a 4 year battle, our Lord and Savior answered our prayers by easing Keith Garland Ferguson's pain and bringing him home, surrounded in love by his girls. Even at the young age of 60, this man created an amazing legacy that will forever live on.

Keith was born in Crockett, TX on November 7, 1952, to Paul and Verne Ferguson. The family moved to Austin, where he spent the majority of his life. He graduated from Reagan High School in 1971. During his first semester at Concordia University, he enlisted in the Army National Guard. After his service, he developed a passion for masonry, which led him to start his own business, Ferguson Masonry. Through his incredibly strong work ethic and eye for perfection, Keith became a highly respected businessman.

Keith was a man of strong faith. Even through the toughest trials of his disease he would say "I'm just blessed to be here." He was a member of Hill Country Fellowship in Burnet, TX. He also had a great love of softball. He sponsored a team for many years, during which he developed and nurtured many lifelong friendships. He also enjoyed many other hobbies, including dancing, golfing, fishing with "the grands," and of late, playing on his Kindle Fire, which we nicknamed his "BFF." Spending time with his grandkids was by far the highlight of his life.

Keith was preceded in death by his brothers, Mark and Jack, as well as his father, Paul E. Ferguson, Sr. He is also reuniting in Heaven with his twin daughters, Ruth and Mary, who were born prematurely. His passing leaves a great hole in the hearts of his loved ones still here - his wife and "rock" throughout this journey, who loved him selflessly and unconditionally, and whose compassionate comfort and care-giving gave him the strength to fight this battle giving us all four more beautiful years, Pam Ferguson; his daughters, D'Ann Gerbine and Kelly Gamble; sons-in-law Pete Gerbine, III and David Gamble; stepsons Sean and Kelsey Alvarado; grandchildren Sydney and Brynn Gerbine and Tyler and Camryn Gamble; brother, Paul E. Ferguson, Jr.; mother, Verne Ferguson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2013 at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery.

If desired, the family would appreciate your support of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at pancan.org. "Together we canKnow It. Fight It. End It."
