Obituary (Madison (MO) Times, Dec. 27, 1917)- William H. Bennett, aged 81 years, 4 months and 19 days passed away at his home west of Ash Wednesday evening of last week. He had been in failing health a number of years and while death was not unexpected, the news will be learned with sorrow by his many friends. He is survived by his wife and daughter, one brother and a number of grandchildren and relatives. Deceased was a member of the Ash Baptist church and a neighborly christian gentleman. Funeral services were conducted from the Ash church Friday afternoon by Rev. Green and burial was made in the Ash cemetery
