Obituary (Madison (MO) Times, Nov. 20, 1919)- Miss Virnah D. Bennett died at 1 o'clock Wednesday Nov. 12th at the family home, one-fourth mile west of Ash. She had been an invalid all of her life. Deceased was forty years old. She is survived by her step-mother, Mrs. W. H. Bennett, one niece, Mrs. T. W. Holder, two nephews, Arlie and Guy Halliburton, of Cairo. The funeral service was held Thursday at 1 o'clock in the Hickory Grove Baptist church. Burial in Hickory Grove cemetery.
