Nancy Patrick was the daughter of TM Patrick, the younger, and Martha Walters. She married Hopson Lewis, Jr 10 Dec 1895. They had three children Lola B, Braswell, and Velma Oleda. She lost her husband Hopson before 1910. She was devastated at the death of Braswell 17 Dec 1918.

When her baby, Velma married George "Beamon" Tolbert, Nancy gave them land to farm with the proviso that she live with them until her death. Nancy was a life long member of Antioch Primitive Baptist Church. When Velma had her first child, James Travis, Nancy spoiled him rotten. I'm sure Cleo, his sister, got plenty from Grandma Lewis too. When I found pictures of Travis in school, he was the only one wearing a suit. I'm sure she thought it was essential for Church too.

Nancy was definitely a good woman.
