Lorenzo A. Beswick, 72, retired farmer living at 400 South Genesee Street, died at Morrison Community Hospital Saturday morning at 2:30 o'clock, where he was taken after having a cerebral hemorrhage Friday. Funeral services will be held at Reynold's Funeral home Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock and at 2 o'clock in the Methodist Church and burial will be made in Grove Hill Cemetery, the Rev. H.E. Olson officiating. Mr. Beswick was born in Clyde twp Feb 14, 1878, the son of William A. and Mary Milnes Beswick, and was educated in the Clyde schools. He farmed all his life in this countyr until his retirement a few years ago, when he moved to this city. He married Lydia Taylor in Morrison, Jan 30, 1901, and she survives him. He was a member of the Morrison Club, and was school director while living in the county, being well known to his old friends as REn. He is also survived by two sons, Raymond, who operates the home farm west of Morrison and Taylor who also farms westo of this city; also four brothers, Elmer of Spring Couler, Canada, Richard and Harold of Morrison, and Alvarow of Nampa, Idaho, one sister, Mrs. Hannah C. Bull of Wilmington, IL. Six granchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Sarah Burch.
