Cheryl Ann "Anderson" Huff, 65

WESTBROOK -- Cheryl A. Huff, 65, of East Bridge Street, died on April 11, 2012, at a Portland health care facility.

Born in Warren, Minn., on July 2, 1946, she was the daughter of Edward and Helen (Hendrickson) Anderson. She was raised and educated in Alvarado, Minn.

Cheryl met her husband Larry while he was serving in the Air Force, stationed at Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota. They were married in Portland in 1964, made their home in several locations before settling in Windham in the early 90s. They made their home there for 19 years, before moving to Westbrook a little over a year ago.

Mrs. Huff was employed as a CNA, Med. Tech. working with Alzheimer's patients at Ledgewood Manor, in Windham. She retired from there in 2008, after 17 years of service.

Cheryl was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Portland. She was an avid drag racing and stock car racing fan and enjoyed many camping trips with family and friends.

Cheryl loved her children and grandchildren and the family times they were able to spend together. According to her husband, they were her whole life.

Besides her mother of Portland, she is survived by her husband, Larry A. Huff of Westbrook; two sons, Tony M. F. Huff and his wife Debbie, and Nick Huff and his wife Rhonda, all of Windham; two brothers, James Anderson of South Carolina and John Anderson of Kansas; three grandchildren, Jessica, Chelsea and Rebecca; as well as one great- grandson, Gavin.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, April 15, 2012, from 1 until 3 p.m., at the Dolby

Funeral Chapel, 434 River Rd., Windham, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday. Burial will be private.
