Born Feb. 28, 1947 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Spangler and Isabel (Seaholtz) Knepp Sr. Her husband, Charles R. Ross, whom she married April 9, 1965, preceded her in death on Sept. 13, 2011.
Also preceding her in death was a sister, Carol A. Snyder.
Surviving are: three children, Richard L. Ross of McVeytown, Thomas A. Ross and wife Pam of Lewistown, Tammy L. Bender of Yeagertown; seven siblings, Bonnie Shawver of Lewistown, Sandy Smith of Lewistown, Spangler Knepp Jr. of State College, Joy Knepp Kahley of Lewistown, Tim Knepp of Mifflin, Mona Knepp of Lewistown, Scott Knepp of Lewistown; six grandchildren, Brooke Latherow, Patricia Shawver, Stephanie Kirchoff, Heather Carter, Darren Slemons, Alicia Hammill; six great grandchildren, Makayla, Timothy, Aislinn, Austin, Ariana, and Kehlan.
A homemaker, she was a member of the McVeytown Presbyterian Church where she served as a deaconess.
Martha was an avid reader and enjoyed collecting stamps and coins.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2021 at the McVeytown Presbyterian Church with Rev. Scott Andrews officiating. Interment will be in Mattawana Cemetery, McVeytown.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the church.
