Albon Collins received word Wednesday that his sister, Mrs. Jane Geddes had passed away that day. Mrs Geddes had spent several years in this village where she had made many friends
who were sorry to hear of her death.


Mrs. Jane Geddes died after a brief illness on Weds, aged 75 years. Mrs. Geddes has been living with her brother, Doran Collins, for the past five years. She leaves one son, Ralph
Geddes of Plattsburgh. who with his wife, were present at the funeral; two step-sons; two sisters. Mrs. Henry Spaulding, of Brushton and Mrs. Hannah Langdon, of this place; three brothers. Albon Collins, William Collins and Doran Collins, all of Bangor; who will mourn her loss deeply. The funeral was held on Friday at the home of her brother, Doran, and was attended by many relatives, neighbors and friends. Rev. Thomas officiated; interment in West Bangor cemetery. Mrs. Geddes had long been in poor health, but her condition was not considered critical until a few days before her death. Her age was 76 years.
