Sarah Jane Tipton, 58, of Chillicothe, died 11:25 P.M. April 11, 1998, in the Adena Regional Medical Center,
Chillicothe, following an extended illness.
She was born February 23, 1940, in Greenfield, Ohio to Lawrence R. and Bertha Hakes Perrin. She was married
to Ed Tipton, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Dennis Thompson, Springfield, Ohio and Parris Thompson, Washington C. H.; four
sisters, Lavonne Blake and her friend, Merlin, Reedsville, Ohio, Faith Wilcox and Virginia (Glenn) Spillman,
Washingto C. H.; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Tipton was employed at the Eagles and Shawnee Lanes of Chillicothe. She was a member of Eagles Aerie
600 and a graduate of Greenfield McClain High School.
Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Tuesday in Haller Funeral Home, 1661 Western Ave., Chillicothe, with Rev.
Robert K. Blaine officiating. Burial will follow in Greenfield Cemetery. Friends may call 6-9 P.M. Monday at
Haller's.
