Funeral services for Genevieve Vyncke, 96, East Moline, are 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline.

Visitation is 2-6 p.m. Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Fr. Cleary Endowment Fund.

Mrs. Vyncke died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000, at Illini Restorative Care Center, Silvis. She was born March 11, 1904, in Perryville, Mo., the daughter of Theodore and Emma (Hunt) Schulte. She married Richard Vyncke, Nov. 5, 1924, in East Moline. He died March 17, 1962.

Genevieve worked in the cafeteria at UTHS until 1970. She was a charter member of St. Anne Church, a member of the St. Anne Benefit Club, Alter Society, 60+ and AARP. She enjoyed playing cards, crocheting and baked the best raisin bread around.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Luella and Neil Summers, Rock Island, and Marlene and Melvyn Gavin, East Moline; sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Marlowe Vyncke, Moline, William and Ruth Vyncke, East Moline, Leo and Eileen Vyncke, East Moline, James and Glenda Vyncke, Andover, Wayne and Ruth Ann Vyncke Silvis/Hayward, Wis., and Joe and Nancy Vyncke, Silvis; 33 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Alene Sheley, East Moline. Genevieve was preceded in death by her husband; infant children, Floyd and Rose Marie; a grandson, Darrell Vyncke; four sisters and five brothers.
