Married Mary Saltmash on Feb 24, 1862 daughter of Thomas and Sarah Saltmarsh.

Mary died and on Dec 12, 1874 Mark married Clara (Hovey) Hackett of Manchester New Hampshire, daughter of John and Alice Hovey.

Mark died at age 58 and 1 month and 5 days in Gilford of heart disease and was buried in the family cemetery in Gilford. Clara was still living at that time.
