He was a Coast Guard Veteran. Carl was the Radar Chief for the Federal Aviation Administration in Indianapolis for 33 years retiring in 1979. He was a member of the Plainfield United Methodist Church and Plainfield Elks Lodge #2186.
Survivors include his children: Carl R. Broman, Robert A. Broman, Karen Y. Taber, Susan R. Goodwin, Marlys D. Vaccari and Craig B. Broman 13 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.
