David Quackenbush was baptized 6 April 1788 at the Schraalenburgh Dutch Reformed Church in Bergen County, New Jersey. He was the son of Johannes Quackenbush and Annatje Anderson. He married Catherine Serven on 12 June 1813 in the Kakiat Dutch Reformed Church [Brick Church, Spring Valley, New York.]
He is probably the David Quackenbush who was drafted in 1814 at Clarkstown to serve in the War of 1812. David, however, employed a substitute, Lewis Cox, to serve his obligation.
Catharine Wanamaker, widow of the decedent and John D. Quackinbush, son of the decedent, were granted Letters of Administration on the Estate of David Quackinbush of Ramapo. (Not dated and not signed by the surrogate.) John D. Quackinbush, son of the decedent, and Herman Goetchius, friend of the decedent, were granted Letters of Administration on for the Estate of David Quackinbush of Ramapo. Nov. 7, 1842.
After David's death, Catherine married on 20 July 1842 Kakiat Ref Church, Cornelius Wanamaker.
