Terri worked at Lands End for the last 17 years, where she made many friends. Terri graduated from Darlington High School in 1976, where she still holds the Lady Redbird shot put record. She also graduated from Fennimore Area Technical College, where she received an associate degree in accounting. Terri was a fierce competitor. She was a member of Darlington Golf and County Club, Leahy's Collision Clinic softball team (winning several championships) and a member of Legend's women's pool league. Terri enjoyed both tending bar and playing cards.
Terri is survived by her parents, Gerald and Mary Leahy of rural Darlington; maternal grandmother, Lydia Salathe of Lafayette Manor Nursing Home in Darlington; her children, Ryan (Jenny Wasley) Riley and Angie Riley, all of Darlington; her brothers, Kevin (Wendy) Leahy of rural Shullsburg, and Alan (Gina) Leahy of Benton; her sisters, Conny (Don Hastert) Moore of Sun Prairie, JoAnn (Rick) Merfeld of Tucson, Ariz., and Amy (Jerod) Ray of Belmont; a loving friend, Joe Reichling, and his daughters, Missy and Lexie, all of rural Darlington; and nieces and nephews., Tim, Ashton, Alaina and Erica Leahy, Paige Hohlstein, Lydia Leahy, Kyle and Brett Moore, Lauryn Merfeld, and Mallary and Mitchell Ray. She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Leahy, on April 8, 1983; maternal grandfather, Fred Salathe, in 1988; and a nephew, Jadin Thomas Leahy, in infancy.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 23, 2002, at 11 am at Immanuel United Church of Christ, Darlington, with the Rev. Bill Kapp officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery, Darlington. A visitation will be held Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002, from 3 until 9 pm at Immanuel United Church of Christ Fellowship Hall, Darlington. A memorial fund has been established in Terri's name. Erickson Funeral Home, Darlington, is serving the family.
