William Johnson emigrated from Yorkshire to Ontario about 1850 with his new spouse, Charlotte Colton. They had married 28 May 1849 in East Retford, Nottingham, England. He ran railroad out of Bluevale up to the Bruce Penninsula and back. He also owned two parcels of land - at Concession 6, lots 3 and 4 in Wawanosh East Township near the town of Belgrave (not listed above on the cities list for place of death - nor is Blyth). Each lot contained 96 acres.
