Born Dec. 28, 1915, in Pekin to Halac R. and Jesse C. Larimore Colson, he married Alberta Mae Stone on Aug. 23, 1941, in Pekin. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Colleen (and Ivan) Martin of East Peoria, one sister, Helen Watkins of Manito, one brother, Dean Colson of Manito, five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Two sisters and one brother preceded him in death.
He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of William Schaefer American Legion Post 44.
He was a route salesman for more than 40 years, last working for Butternut in Pekin.
He was a member of the Empire Lodge 126, AF&AM.
He also was a member of the First Christian Church in Pekin.
Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
