James "Jim" Poyner, 89, passed February 18, 2013 in Oklahoma City. He was born on November 17, 1923 in Oklahoma City to William and Violet Poyner. Jim worked at OG&E for many years and is a member of the Sothern Hills Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Trula Poyner; son, Randall Poyner and wife Nanci; and grandchildren, Chris Poyner and wife Stephanie, Kim Poyner and Mark Poyner. Jim was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral ceremony will be Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Oklahoma Baptist Children's Home.
