Services for Leslie Beam, 84, of Slaton will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2008 in Englunds Chapel. Interment will be in Englewood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service in Slaton.
Mr. Beam was born March 18, 1924 in McClain County, Okla. Leslie married Buna Helen Schoonover on May 5, 1945 in Lindsey, Okla. They previously lived in Idalou before moving to Slaton in 1964. Leslie retired from Pay Master Oil Mill.
His survivors include his wife, Pat; daughters, Helen Sisson and Betty Brachwitz; brothers, Elmer and Marvin Beam; sisters, Nona Fae Ramsey; Louise Beam; and Evelyn Beam; four grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren
