We got Baby after we lost our oldest cat Snowflake. By that time we had two older cats (10-11 years old- Maddie and Peanut Butter) and one young 5 year old (Jelly Bean). We wanted a little younger cat to play with Jelly Bean. How naïve to think that Baby wouldn't wrestle and thoroughly annoy and cuddle with all of them.
He would run and wrestle and get into trouble and then drop into a deep sleep wherever he landed. He loved to ride in the laundry basket and sometimes I would just put a towel in one and carry him up the steps because he was just so cute. He would climb on the kitchen table and when I caught him, he would flatten down like I might not see him! He loved to sleep on my Belle doll's lap and lick that doll. Once he got into my husband's wallet and pulled money out of it - GOOD BOY as long as he brought it to me. He would climb in my garden window above the sink yet not break anything. He had a wonderful purr and a grin on his face. He loved his Jelly Bean -- and Peanut Butter would cuddle with him. You will see how little he is in the picture next to PB.
In October 2011, Baby developed a urinary blockage. We tried for two months to save him. Even surgery did not resolve the problem and we had to make the sad decision to put him to sleep. We miss him terribly. I think Jelly knew he was sick and needed peace. She did not grieve very long.
