Jewel Mullinax, 96, entered into rest on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 in Carnegie, OK. . She was born on August 6, 1916 in Maxwell, OK to Claude Lee and Elva Louise (Robertson) Hooper. She married Ray Clifton Butler on April 23, 1932 in Pauls Valley, OK. To this union seven children were born; Bonnie, Bud, Frankey, Orvel, Shirley, Leo and Ronnie. He preceded her in death in 1962. She later married A.P. "Pat" Mullinax on April 17, 1964 in Mountain View, OK. He also preceded her in death. Jewel was a member of the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Mountain View and was a Sunday School teacher there. When that church closed she became a member of the First Baptist Church in Mountain View. She was a faithful member and attended regularly until her health prevented her from being able to leave her home. In October of 2003 she made the difficult decision to leave her home in Mountain View and move to the Carnegie Nursing Home. Jewel was a homemaker and worked very hard over the years to make sure her children were cared for. She worked outside of the home at several different jobs. Her love of quilting and crocheting turned into work as so many people wanted her to make something for them. She made numerous quilts, giving many away. Her greatest joy in life came from spending time with her family. Except for the very young grandchildren, everyone has the memories of the Sunday dinners and holiday meals at her house with lots of food and lots of family.

She is survived by:
