LEROY -- The funeral service for Jeffery Eugene Dohlman will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at LeRoy Lutheran Church in LeRoy, with the Rev. Thomas Kolden officiating. Burial will be in LeRoy Lutheran Cemetery.
Mr. Dohlman, 49, of LeRoy, died Wednesday (March 30, 2005) at Saint Marys Hospital.
Born Aug. 28, 1955, in Cresco, Iowa, he graduated from Riceville (Iowa) High School in 1974, and married Renae Lewison on June 4, 1977, at Little Cedar Lutheran Church in Adams. He operated Jeff's Co-op and Jeff's Radiator shop, worked for Hormel Foods Corp. and was working for Bing Cabinetry and JD Driver, both in Rose Creek, at the time of his death. He also was a retired firefighter with LeRoy Fire Department, where he had served 23 years. He enjoyed his bass boat, fishing and traveling.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Shannon (Michon Beaulieu) of Rochester; a daughter, Heidi Dohlman of Rochester; two brothers, Dennis (Carla Greenlee) of Bristow, Iowa, and Bob of Riceville, Iowa; and three sisters, Ruth Dohlman of New Hampton, Iowa, Mavis (Jerry) Ptacek of Fredricksbury, Iowa, and Carol (Dale) Throckmorton of Preston. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Hindt Funeral Home in LeRoy and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
