Washingtonville – Mattie Hart Hanners, 88, of West Main Street, died at 2:40 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at the Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Salem.

Mrs. Hanners was born September 4, 1924 in Oak Hill, WV, a daughter of the late Marion and Susie Clay Wright.

She had been employed as an office manager for the former Insul Company, East Palestine for 35 years. She was a 50 year member of the OES in Canal Winchester.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Hanners, whom she married July 23, 1983; a daughter, Joyce (Charles) Doll of East Palestine; a son, Roger (Gwen) Hart of Storm Lake, IA; a step daughter, Deborah (Gordon) Buckner of Mineral Ridge; a step son, Dennis (Deborah) Hanners of Indian Mound, TN; two sisters, Myrtle Black of Ostrander and Joyce (Bill) Hague of Gahanna; eight grandchildren, Nathan (Lindsay) Hart, Tara Doll, Darren Doll, Jessica (Joseph) Murwin; Michael (Kayla) Buckner, Jacob Tyler Buckner, Amy (Chris) Flowers and April (Adam) Kincaid; and seven great grandchildren, Madeline, Wyatt, Kierstin, Mikayla, Iris, Lexi and Colton.

A sister, Tinnia Atkins, three brothers, Harlin, Ronal, and Orvill Wright, as well as, two infant siblings preceded her in death

Burial will be in the Glenview Cemetery.
