Max S. Adams, age 73, of Alpine, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013.

He was born on August 24, 1939, at Forester, the son of Tim Adams and Hazel Doster Adams. On December 23, 1964, he was married to Marion A. Yeargan. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was the owner and operator of Max Adams Garage and was Baptist in his faith. An avid dirt track racer, he was the owner and crew chief of race car #3 and was a member of the Wall Mountain Hunting Club.

He is survived by his wife, Honey Adams of Alpine; his son, Brady Adams of Alpine; his daughter, Stephanie Long of Glenwood; four grandchildren, Jayden Max Long, Carlie Adams, Tiffany Griblin and Cody Griblin; one brother and sister-in-law, Horace and Nella Adams of Kirby; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Laverne Hawkins of Greenwood, Twyla and Travis Buck of Arkadelphia and Vicki and Bob Winnes of McCaskill; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 27, 2013, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood.

Visitation will be held Friday evening, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Interment will be in the Coker Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
