Mrs. Logsdon Funeral
Mrs Logsdon funeral was conducted by Rev. W. T. Ferguson at the home yesterday morning and she was laid to rest beside her husband in the East Cemetery. The pallbearers were Richard Rose, M.L. Reid, W.T. Saunders, Samuel Long and A.R. Breeze.
NOTE: Park Cemetery records show that Mrs. Susan Logsdon was interred in Park Cemetery on June 1, 1907.
It was reported on the 1870 United States Federal Census about Susan Logsdon was age 52 and gave her birth year as 1818 in Kentucky. Her husband was listed as Washington Logsdon [at that time the name George was not given] and his age was given as 52. They were residing on a farm in Marion Twp., Jasper county, MO., where he was farming.
Their children in the household was reported as Washington Logsdon age 19, Thomas Logsdon age 14, James Logsdon age 12 and Perdida Logsdon age 10.
1880 US Census reported George Washington Logsdon age 58 and wife Susan age 59 are residing in Carthage. George has given his occupation as farming. They are now living in town next to son James and his family.
