WALTER EGBERT PONSFORD.
Walter Egbert Ponsford, Route 3,
died at his home at 3:20 a. m. Friday
of pernicious anemia. He was
57 years old.
He was born in South Dakota,
May 21. 1885, the son of Walter and
Alma Ponsford. On June 28, 1910,
he married Mary Bopp in Waterloo.
He operated a garage at La
Porte City, la., for 17 years and
for the past three years had been
employed at Boylan & Multhauf
tire and battery station, Waterloo.
He had been ailing since June
and was bedfast since Wednesday
night.
Surviving are the widow and
three brothers. John. McMinnville,
Ore., and Charles and George, both
of Corvallis, Ore.
He was a member of Walnut
Street Baptist church and of the
Royal Arcanum.
The body was taken to the
Kearns Garden chapel.
