William W. Baker died in Portland, on 05 February 1907. This was one month after his beloved son, Frank Columbus Baker, died in Portland, on 02 January 1907. This must have been a terrible blow to an already sick father. They both chose printing and publishing as much of their life's work. Both, served the people of Oregon as servants at the Oregon State Capital. His son was for a time the official, Oregon State Printer. Over seeing the on time printing and distributing of all state business.
