LOUIS ACKERMAN
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m., at Locke funeral home for Louis Ackerman, 55, of Route 5, Waterloo, who died at 10:25 a.m. Sunday, at St. Francis Hospital of a heart ailment. He was a lifelong resident of Black Hawk County.
Mr. Ackerman, born February 9, 1893, in Black Hawk County, the son of Robert and Martha Ackerman, and married Iva M. Padget, December 24, 1920 in Waterloo.
Surviving are his wife, two sons, Raymond, 2208 West Third Street, and Robert, at home; five brothers, Walter and George, both of Route 3, Waterloo, Ollie, Cedar Falls, Ed, Riceville, Iowa, and Ernest, 100 State Street; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Lazenby, Route 5, Waterloo, and Mrs. Nellie Bell, 224 South Barclay Street. Two grandchildren also survive.
Mr. Ackerman was preceded in death by two brothers and his parents.
Rev. J. E. Pritchard, retired Methodist minister of Cedar Falls, will officiate at the services. The body is at Locke funeral home.
