Frances Wolford, 83, of Conesville, Iowa died Thursday, April 6 at the Crescent Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, Muscatine. There will be no visitation or public services held, the body has been cremated. The Stacy-Lewis Funeral HOme, Columbus Junction is handling the arrangements. A memorial has been established at the funeral homefor the Conesville Methodist Church. Private burial of the cremains will be in the Conesville Cemetery at a later date.

Olga Frances Chown was born August 21, 1916 in Muscatine County to Richard and Maude Sharke Chown. Frances was a 1933 graduate of the Columbus Junction HIgh School. She married H. Jason Wolford July 27, 1935 in Rock Island, Illinois. Jason preceded Frances in death October 12, 1990. Frances had worked for a short time as a secretary for the Perry Law Office in Columbus Junction. Frances was a 50 year member of the Conesville United Methodist Church and the United MEthodist Women.

Frances is survived by a daughter and two wons, Jackie Becker and her husband Larry, Illinois City, Illinois, Jerry Wolford, Mesa, Arizona, and Bill Wolford, Talbott, Tennessee. There are four grandchildren, Jason Wolford and his wife, Missy, Cleveland, Tennessee, Andrew Wolford and his wife, Susan, Hermitage, Tennessee, Jeff Becker and his wife, Tammy, Muscatine, and Lynne Becker, Lincoln, Nebraska. There are two great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Samantha Becker, Muscatine.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jason, a brother Wayne, and a sister Nita.
