He served in the Army during World War II and the Korean War, received the Korean Service Medal with four Bronze Service Stars and the United Nations Service Medal.
Rosary service was held at 7 p.m. at Smith Mortuary in Charleston.
Funeral was held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Charleston with burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Charleston.
He is survived by two sisters, and a brother.
