HOMER R. POTTER
Homer Richard Potter, 50, Route 3, died Tuesday morning at St. John's Medical Center, Joplin, Mo. He was born Aug. 21, 1938, at Fort Scott, the son of Hugh C. Potter and Eva
E. Greer. He married Gail Annette Reed Oct. 25, 1958, at Hanon, Mo.
Mr. Potter was a graduate of Fort Scott High School. He attended Pittsburg State University Vo-Tech School. He was a maintenance employee at the Fort Scott Post Office and had worked at Mercy Hospital.
Mr. Potter was an Army veteran and served in Germany from 1961-63. He was a member of Olson Frary-Burkhart Post 1165, Veterans of Foreign Wars; Rising Sun Lodge No. 8, AF/AM; Fort Scott Scottish Rite Bodies; and the American Postal Workers Union.
The Rev. Kevin Moyers will conduct services at 2 p.m. Friday at the Community Christian Church.
Burial will be in Fort Scott National Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of Dorothy Carr, 305½ Judson, Fort Scott, Kan. 66701.
Cheney's Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
