Martha was the daughter of Elisabeth Wiedeman and Henry Becker, German-Russian immigrants from the Volga River area of Russia. She and her fraternal twin brother, Fred, were the seventh and eighth children born to this couple. Martha was baptised May 6, 1923 at St. James Lutheran Church in Scottsbluff, Nebraska by Pastor W. Ludwig. The following is taken from her obituary:
On Jan. 30, 1940 she married Lee Rohn in Gering, NE. The couple farmed in the Henry, NE. area until retiring in 1985 and moving to Lyman.
Mrs. Rohn, who was a member of Immanuel United Christian Church in Lyman, worked at the Lyman Library for several years. She was active in the Grass Roots Club in Torrington. An accomplished crocheter, she had won purple ribbons at the Goshen County Fair for her afghans and for her baked goods. Her entries also won ribbons at the Wyoming State Fair.
Survivors include a daughter, Jean Ann Morehead, Loveland, Colo.; two sons, Rick Rohn, San Diman, Calif. and Bryon Rohn of Torrington; two brothers, her twin Fritz and Victor, both of Sacramento, Calif.; three sisters, Mary Felker, Milwaukee, Wis.; Pauline Behrens, Orland, Calif. and Freida Hubbard of Sacramento; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and two sisters.
