Fannie Griffith Herring was born in Etowah County; charter and faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Mattie Griffith; husband of 70 years, Julius (J.W.) Herring; two brothers, Henry and Frank Griffith; five sisters, Daisy Slay, Margaret Mullins, Eddie C. Prickett, Dovie Becraft and her twin, Laura Griffith. She is survived by four children, Julia Guinn, Laura Allen, Cary Herring and David Herring; grandchildren. She was a dynamic Christian and influenced every person she met in a positive manner, and truly demonstrated God's love on a daily basis.
