Agnes Acre was born February 14, 1900 in Lacy, Oklahoma (Kingfisher County), daughter of John Thomas Acre (1861-1952) and Sarah Ella Morrison (1869-1948).

The 1910 Federal Census for Harper, Oklahoma (Dewey County) shows Agnes Acre, age 14, born in Oklahoma; living with her father, John T. Acre, a farmer, age 48, born in Indiana; and her mother, Ella, age 40, born in Indiana. Also living in the household were Agnes' siblings: Rufus R. Acre, a farm laborer, age 22, born in Kansas; James S. Acre, a farm laborer, age 20, born in Kansas; Charles Acre, a farm laborer, age 16, born in Oklahoma; Isol Acre, age 14, born in Oklahoma; Nellie Acre, age 5, born in Oklahoma; and Bonnie Acre, age 3, born in Oklahoma.

On February 12, 1921 in Oklahoma, Agnes married Emmanuel 'Manuel' Baker, who was born July 31, 1900 in Fairview, Oklahoma (Major County), son of Jacob Baker (1877-1935) and Lena Offenberger (1881-1941).

Manuel and Agnes had three known children: Arthur Baker (1921-1939); Agnes Evelyn Baker (1926- ); and Dorothy May Baker (1928-1929).

Manuel died January 23, 1963 in Canton, Oklahoma (Blaine County) and was buried there in the Canton Cemetery. Agnes died December 10, 1985 in Canton and was buried beside Manuel.
