They were blessed with five children. She owned and operated Katie's Kut & Kurl in Delta for many years and made many good friends during this time. Later she drove bus for the Millard County School District for many years, and was loved by the children and staff alike.
She leaves a legacy of love, compassion, forgiveness and a zest for life. She loved the desert, enjoyed spending time with her family exploring, playing and being together. Her family and extended family meant everything to her.
Katie is survived by her sons: Michael (Karren) of Tooele; Ken (Cheryl); Billy; and Justin (Katie), all from Delta; 19 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; sister: Marilyn (Olen) Sheriff of Centerville; and many wonderful nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter: Rose Marie Poulsen; and brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 26, at 11:00 AM at the Delta 1st LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call Thursday evening at the Nickle Mortuary, 7:00-8:00 PM, and Friday morning at the church, 9:30-10:40 AM. Burial will be in the Delta Cemetery.
