Agnes Clugston was the daughter of Robert and Susan Clugston. She married John Charles Riley on January 29, 1853, in Flint, Michigan. Together they had four sons: Frank, Charles, John, & William. She was known as 'Grandma Riley' to those that knew her.
In Agnes' obituary, her daughter-in-law Della writes, "She was one of the saints of this earth; she will have the best rewards Heaven has for the faithful." "She was a remarkable woman for her age, nearly 90 years old. Her memory was good and she had not used her glasses for eight years and was a constant reader."
