Darlington- Clyde C. Metcalf, 76, retired rural mail carrier who served patrons of the Darlington office for 30 years, died at his home here, following a long illness. He retired 14 years ago.
He is survived by his wife, Susan; a daughter, Mrs. Robert A. Wilkins and two grandchildren, all of Houston, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Mae Besse, Pasadena, Calif.; and a brother, Dr. Frank Metcalf, Amherst, Wis.
Funeral rites will be held at Nelson Sharer funeral home.
