Mrs. Ward Dies;
Rites On Saturday
Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Wylie* Ward will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Sophia First Baptist Church by the Rev. W. F. Tolliver, assisted by the Rev. Dewey Wilson.
Burial will be made in the Hot Coal Cemetery.
Mrs. Ward, 82, of Sophia, died at 7:30 a.m. Thursday after suffering a heart attack. She was the wife of Andy Lewis Ward, who preceded her in death in 1924. Mrs. Ward had been a resident of Sophia for 40 years.
On August 16, 1894, Andrew L. Ward, age 27 born in Raleigh Co, W.Va. was married to Elizabeth C Wykle, age 18. He is the son of Michall and Sarah Ward of New Richmond. Prior to moving to Raleigh County, she and her husband Andrew Lewis Ward had lived at Meadow Creek and Sandstone area in 1900 and 1910 census.

The body will remain at the Williams Funeral Home until the service hour.

She was named after her grandmother Chloé Jane Gwinn, and her Aunt Elizabeth Daniel Fortner.
