Robert F. Comstock, 82, of Watseka passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka.

Robert was born June 20, 1930 in Hoopeston, the son of Loren and Julia Faust Comstock. He married Mary Ann Norder on August 16, 1952 in Watseka and she preceded him in death on August 14, 2011.

Surviving are two daughters, Carol Lynn Comstock-Taranowski of Champaign and Judy Ann (Roger) Chilcoat of Divide, CO; one brother, Richard Neil Comstock of Rossville; one sister, Ida Mae Lowrey of Colorado Springs, CO; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Lawrence and Edwin Comstock; three sisters, Marita Smith, Lois Adams and Judy St. Peter; one son, Robert Charles Comstock; one daughter, Robin Rader; and one granddaughter, Mary Lee Rader.

Mr. Comstock served in the Navy and was a vendor for Interstate United. He worked as a Coleman repair technician and was also a home appliance service repairman. He worked on trailer awnings and trailer underpinning. Robert enjoyed driving his 1950 Plymouth convertible in the Sweetcorn Festival with his brothers, gardening and music.

Pastor Jerry Parker will officiate. Burial will be in Lyman Cemetery in Watseka with military graveside rites by the Watseka American Legion Post #23 and Iroquois County VFW Post #7450
